Synopsis

Susan is a social butterfly and dumps any boy who gets serious with her. Don is just what she needs. He keeps things light and doesn’t even kiss her goodnight. But Don does it because he is passionate about Susan and knows her reputation. When Susan kisses Don, he knows he can’t continue to pretend he’s also carefree and breaks up with her. But Susan has finally fallen in love and must use the costume party to get him to change his mind.

Synopsis

Charlie spends extravagantly and Pat worries about the future. When Charlie’s car is paid off, he promises to save and to buy an engagement ring, but he’s soon bought a new car. Pat doesn’t believe his promises to change, but gives it one last try. She fakes a night of extravagance, claims she’s used her savings to do it, and pushes Charlie to spend until he is broke. Finally, she says she’s funded the night by pawning Charlie’s mother’s cameo pin. Charlie finally understands.

Synopsis

Synopsis

Fred Harper is a bookkeeper and makes up stories about his past to sound interesting. He leaves people laughing behind his back. Gloria wants him to stop, but he won’t listen. When Gloria meets Fred’s parents, she gives him a taste of his own medicine. It causes an argument and Fred fears his parents will never like Gloria. But her message sinks in and the Harpers understood what Gloria was doing and played along to get a result.
