Synopsis

Kitty is ostracized by the residents of her town because her widowed father is a drunk. She convinces Tod to take her to a nightclub, where she sees wealthy Vernon and Tod’s sister Marcella. Tod claims he only brought Kitty there as a joke. Vernon, who is attracted to Kitty and doesn't look down on her, agrees to drive her home. Vernon encourages Kitty’s father to resume his artistic career, and eventually marries Kitty.

Synopsis

Crystal steals Roy, her adopted sister Maura's boyfriend, and marries him. Maura weds Devin on the rebound. When Crystal tells Roy she knows he wishes he could have married Maura, Roy hits her. Crystal apologizes to Maura and reconciles with Roy, admitting she was a “spoiled brat.”

Synopsis

Waitress Gloria dates wealthy Kip and they fall in love, but she thinks the social gulf between them is too great. After an awkward meeting with Kip's family, Gloria breaks up with him. Kip’s sister Pam urges Gloria to attend a party and end Kip’s infatuation with her once and for all by “acting natural.” Gloria is the life of the party and then discovers this was Pam and Kip’s plan: his parents like Gloria’s true personality and her vivaciousness and approve of their engagement.
