Synopsis

Linda was the "Gossip Queen", writing a column in the school paper. She had been dating Wayne Harrison until Tom Mitchell became the newest senior at Parkbury High. Swept off her feet, Linda fell hard for Tom, but he was put off by her public displays of affection. Soon, she saw Tom with Ellen Porter, and couldn't stand to think that she lost Tom to someone so drab and simple as Ellen. So, Linda began a campaign to ruin Ellen's reputation using her column. Believing the lies Linda had written, Tom broke up with Ellen and in a state of shock, she wandered off, lost in the woods. The group found her standing on the edge of a cliff. Running up to Ellen, Linda admitted that what she had written were all lies and Tom only cared for her. Once Ellen was safe, Linda turned to Wayne confessing that, after what she did, she didn't deserve anyone's love.

Synopsis

All of the drama students were excited when they saw the announcements of auditions for a new play, to be directed by a student from the local university. Jackie Lang had always been shy, but went to the audition anyway. Allan Brady, the director, saw Jackie and asked her to read. Her friends were in disbelief when she gave such an emotional performance and won the part. Allan and Jackie were playing the role os director and actress until Allan stepped in to show how he wanted the climactic kiss of the play performed. Sparks flew and they both realized this was more than acting. On opening night, Allan escorted Jackie to the auditorium and everything was perfect... until a voice from the crowd called Allan's name. Margaret, wearing a large engagement ring, came running to Allan, called him darling and gave him a long kiss. In the dressing room, Allan tried to explain to Jackie that he was engaged. As the curtain went up, Jackie threw herself into the role and delivered a powerful performance receiving thundering applause. The audience thought the tears she shed were tears of joy, when they were really heartbreak as she saw Allan and Margaret and knew tomorrow would be a better day.

Synopsis

Helen's childhood had been greatly affected by her parent's divorce when she was five. She promised herself that she wouldn't let romance leave her with a broken heart, and turned down any number of dates until Dean Randall moved to town. Dean had every girl's heart fluttering and Helen's friend Trudy was the first girl he dated, and fell head-over-heels for him. But it wasn't take long before Dean called Helen, and she, too, could not refuse him. Very quickly, they became a steady item until she suddenly felt trapped and broke it off with Dean. She soon sees Dean and Trudy dating again. Then late one afternoon Helen finds Trudy at her house. She tells Helen that she loves Dean... but all he wants is her. At the moment Dean comes to the door admitting that he could not stop thinking about her. Hopefully, they trust that Trudy will find a love as deep as theirs.
