Synopsis

Hattie breaks up with her fiancé Tom because she’s tired of spending so much time with Tom’s invalid mother. Hattie goes to a nightclub and meets handsome Fred; he tells her that he’s being pursued by gangsters trying to recover $50,000 he won at roulette. They hide the cash in Hattie’s house. Tom arrives and Fred, who is actually a criminal named Frank, reveals his true nature. Tom knocks out Fred and the police take him away. Tom and Hattie reconcile.
