Dick Tracy Monthly (Illustrated, 1952 series) #42 (October 1953) — Dick Tracy and the Case of the Million Pound Murder
Synopsis
Tracy and Sam use Mugg to help them locate his former master's jewels. Meanwhile, Pear-Shape is also still searching for the jewels while masquerading behind the publishing business. Sam masquerades as an over-weight woman to gain evidence against Pear-Shape. Sam's disguise is discovered, and Pear-Shape rolls him up in wire. Tracy rescues Sam, and Mugg chases Pear-Shape, jumps on his car and clings there until Pear-Shape drives into the woods and uses a loaw-hanging branch to scrape the dog off the car. Pear-Shape hides in Jim Pistol's spa. The chase with Pear-Shape's death in a zoo.
