Synopsis

Professor Lang brings back a mynah bird that seems to have super-powers and human intelligence. It's stolen by a crook who paints it in Superboy colors to steal, so Superboy is blamed. Turns out the bird drank from the same African pool as "Chandu, the Gorilla with X-Ray Eyes" (seen in Adventure Comics 219). Superboy over-exposes the bird to the fallen meteorite and it reverts to a normal bird.

Notes

Inker credit by Bob Hughes; we previously credited John Fischetti. Also given as Klein in the reprint in Superboy #174. In that reprint, the story title is slightly modified to include a hyphen, i.e., as "The Bird with Super-Powers."
